Imagine my suprise when Sir Ragnar called me over at Thursdays night fight practice at Tirnewydd and asked me if I was still interested in the position as baronial marshall. Naturally I said yes.
This is my initial list of todo’s for the office, of course feedback is welcomed.
Create a marshals web page with reference material’s for the local marshals and new fighters. The idea is to give them a place to go for information, a clearing house, not sure how well it will work over the long term but I am going to give it a try.
* List of fight practices, dates, times, locations, maps, contact info, etc.
* List of on-line reference material (links to handbooks, and other related sites).
* Help the local marshalls get on-line list corrected for all groups.
* list of marshals (full and mit).
* list of knights and master at arms in the barony.
* list of households and fighting units in the barony.
* provide occasional article for vigil.
* list of the usual annual events to give new fighters an idea what to expect.
Other misc stuff
* Assist with local and baronial events and practices as needed .
* In 2007 start looking for a deputy.
* Remind Ragnar (at his request) about the field marshal reports.
* Help the MIT’s complete their training process.
More to follow.

Copied from the Calontir list:
Greeting all,
In October of 2005 there was a Known World Rattan Symposium that was hosted by the Kingdom of Calontir (in the center of the US). It featured instructors from Ansteorra, Artemisa, West, Northshield, Midrelm, and Eldormere. A DVD was created and is available for ordering. Go to the following posting at legiodraconis.com for more information.
